Kaya! My name is Natalie Jackson, and I'm the artist known as Djarliny—a word from my local Noongar dialect meaning flame. I'm a Noongar artist from Wardandi - Biblumun Country, and my work explores identity, both personal and cultural, and what it means to be Noongar in contemporary society.
Through vibrant colours and expressive forms, I delve into the complexities of identity, spirituality, and human connection. Each piece I create is an invitation for reflection and dialogue, grounded in my belief that art has the power to heal and foster understanding.
As I continue to create, I remain committed to building meaningful connections within community and celebrating the diverse tapestry of human experience through my work.

The Noongar Seasons have always been a-part of Aboriginal life and like time itself, the Six Noongar Seasons represent a predictable timetable of foreseeable events. Acknowledgement that nothing is unconnected, and each change is being influenced by the last. Animals, insects and Noongar people have always relied on this process, moving across the land directed by the weather and location of available foods. Plants flower at the same times of year, bearing fruit and reproducing according to this endless cycle ©
Powerful emotive collections that visually explores topics of identity, culture, spirituality, perceptions and the connections we all experience as part of humanity's collective.
"Each collection has allowed me to evolve as an artist and individual" Djarliny
